Latest News & Updates

I cannot begin to tell you how much I have missed seeing and gathering with you on a more consistent basis. However, we have done everything we can to navigate this challenging year with wisdom and your safety as our top priority.

In October, we had begun to see an encouraging decrease in the COVID-19 numbers in our area and immediately began making plans to regather safely in-person. After two test runs, Holy Spirit impressed it upon my heart to shut down all efforts to have church in person for the remainder of 2020 due to the increased wave of COVID-19 cases forthcoming – and that we did.

However, that does not negate our need and desire to remain connected to each other. So I am writing this email to ask for your help in doing just that.

COVID-19 will not stop us from being the Church! We have gone “all-in” with our efforts to help the Community. Because of your prayers, generosity, and support, this year has seen The Outlet go to new lengths to help families in need. I highly recommend those who are looking for opportunities to gather safely in-person to contact James & Markisha Sallie (outreach@theoutletcommunity.com) to find out about upcoming Outreach/Street Team Events.

We want to increase your access to us. Allow us to take this moment to dispel one of the most common myths we hear: “Pastor, doesn’t want to hear about this. They are so busy and I don’t want to bother them.” That could not be further from reality. We are here to serve you. The majority of our prayer time is spent with great concern for you and your family. We are asking if you would be willing help us stay in touch with you. We have set up a way for you to get in contact with us to check-in and talk when your schedule permits. In the following link you can schedule a quick check-in call call/video chat or if you need more time (30min-60min), you can block off time as well.We also are available by call or text at (770) 667-4899. Please save our information.

As we look to 2021, we are extremely encouraged. We have a mandate from the Lord to empower, equip, develop, and deploy you into your created potential and we are committed to doing just that. As we have spent times on the phones and meeting with a host of our members, it is evident to us that we need to continue being fervent in prayer. We will continue our Recharge Prayer Virtual Call that meets on Sundays at 9:30am (EST). In January 2021, we sense the Lord asking us to commit the entire first month to prayer to start the year. We believe after this time of prayer, we will be able to give an update on in-person worship gatherings. More on this in the coming days.

We said all this to say, we love you. Thank you for taking the time to read our “mini dissertation.” LOL!

God’s Peace Be With You,

Vince & Ashley Thomas
Lead Pastors
