Repairing Broken Relationships

I’m learning relationships, at times, can be a little tricky. They can start off on the mountaintop where, in those moments, we believe the feelings of euphoria will last forever. To only find out, as you live a little, relationships require a commitment to treat people the way God treats us — and that’s tough!

I shared a message yesterday dealing with the not so comfortable reality that we cannot always run when relationships get tough and what that means practically. Let me go on record to say, there are some relationships that are best repaired by ending them (I go more into that in my message).

If you are someone like myself, who is interested in growing in this area, I want to give you some tips to help you get on the path to repair the broken relationships in your life:

1. You Must Heal First
2. Proper Boundaries Are a Prerequisite to Repairing Broken Relationships
3. Allow God to Examine Your Heart and Reveal Areas for Growth
4. Ask for and Act on Wisdom on How You Should Proceed Forward

This list is definitely not exhaustive and I would love to add to it. What are some things you have done to help to repair broken relationships in your life? I would love to hear from you!

Thank you for taking the time to read this email.
